Presentation Overview

Imposter feelings can shape how students approach internships, clinical experiences, field placements, and other experiential learning opportunities. This interactive session explores why students may question whether they belong, how those feelings can influence academic and workplace engagement, and practical, research-informed strategies professionals can use to help students build confidence, resilience, and self-efficacy.

---

Learning Objectives:

Participants will explore:

  1. Factors associated with imposter feelings among students.
  2. The impact of self-doubt in belonging, engagement, and professional identity.
  3. Practical strategies for strengthening confidence, coping, and resilience
  4. When additional support, assessment, or referral may be appropriate.
