NCDA: ISSC Mini-Conference Call for Proposals

On behalf of the NCDA International Student Services Committee (ISSC) Mini-Conference Planning team, we are pleased to announce that we are not accepting proposals to present at the 2026 NCDA ISSC Mini-Conference. In an ever-evolving landscape where opportunities and challenges intersect for international students, this conference aims to serve as a beacon for those dedicated to supporting the career aspirations of international students

This mini-conference, focused on supporting the career development of international students at colleges/universities, will take place on Friday, August 7, 2026 from 10:00am - 4:00pm CST!

This year's theme - Building Together: Centering Advocacy, Community, and Adaptability

Learn more about this theme and some possible presentation topics.

All sessions of this mini conference are open to all members of NCDA!

The committee would like to invite everyone to consider submitting a proposal to present. The deadline for proposals is May 1, 2026. Selected presenters will be notified on May 28, 2026 and must accept by June 4, 2026. The committee welcomes presentations from NCDA members. Additionally, career services practitioners who are not NCDA members but work closely with international students are also encouraged to submit a proposal. Submissions from non-NCDA members will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Submit your proposals HERE.

For those interested in attending rather than presenting, we encourage you to save the date, event details and registration will be posted to the NCDA events page in the coming weeks.

If you have questions, please reach out to Abby Senuty and Dr. Pankaj Desai, ISSC Virtual Mini-Conference Co-Chairs, at abby.senuty@skagit.edu and dr.desai.pankaj@gmail.com
