"Reflecting on Our Past, Present and Future"

I would like to start by wishing you and your families a very happy holiday season! For many of us, the holiday season often brings a time of reflection. No matter the measure of time, be it a quarter, semester, or year as a whole, our careers are likely a major point of focus. This may be in the form of questions to ourselves such as “What could I have done better?” or “Did I make a difference in the lives of my clients/students?”, but I would like to encourage you to shift the focus of this period of reflection to ask yourself “What did I do well?” and “How did I make a difference in the lives of my clients/students?”. There will always be room for growth and a to-do list in our careers, but we all deserve to reflect on our successes as practitioners.
