National Career Development Month continues with an interactive training titled "Committing to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion"
This training focuses on exploring the building blocks of DEI education, ranging from defining the critical terms (diversity, inclusion, equity vs equality, etc.) to recognizing instances of privilege and microaggressions. During the presentation, participants will be asked to think about ways they can incorporate these topics into their work, with the goal of creating habits that include all as opposed to unintentionally creating barriers. By recognizing our own privileges and the barriers that may be present for others, we can begin creating practices that are accessible and affirming to those we value in our community, our jobs, and our personal lives.
